Splicing Wires Tutorials!

Thanks for Signing-Up! Check Your Email!

You will now receive emails about how to splice wires for electricians.

We’ll break down the wire splicing process for residential and commercial electricians who mainly work with 14/2 and 12/2 wire:

  • Removing the Wire Jacket (Outer Sheathing)
  • Stripping Wires with Wire Strippers (Properly)
  • Twisting 3 or More Wires Together!

Want to see more wire types, like Armored Cable, or bigger wire like #8 AWG (which we use for ovens in a typical home?).. let me know, I can add to this series!

If there’s one thing you read, it’s this..

Hand strength gets built up over time.. so if your splices aren’t good in your first few years, it’s okay.. you will improve as your gripping strength increases..

Because twisting wires isn’t really a natural human movement, it works muscles we don’t normally use..

We also want to be careful of “carpal tunnel”, which can happen when we do repetitive tasks over and over again.. and being mindful of working over our head, as it’s hard on our arms and heart!

I’ll talk to you in our emails.. Enjoy this wire splicing tutorial series! 🙂
